Well, more recently I have been praying about what the Lord wants me to be doing. We have a lot of decisions we need to make right now. Should I homeschool the girls again next year? Should I send them back so I can get a job and alleviate some of the financial stress we've been under? Is there something I can do from home to generate extra income? Where does God want to use me in ministry? Who can I influence? Etc. Etc.!!
As I was praying, asking the Lord what He wanted me to be doing (at the time thinking of generating income) I really felt Him lay blogging on my heart. He began to give me ideas of what I could blog about etc. At first I started to get excited and brainstorm about what I could do.
Well, that only lasted for a short while, because then I began to think that this wasn't what I was praying for. First of all, I need something to help pay our bills not take more of my time! I'm already busy enough. On top of that, why would I blog?? Who would want to listen to what I have to share? I'm not a gifted writer and I don't have deep insights or any special niche to share with others! Who would even read my blog?
But, as I continued to list my arguments over the days to come, God continued to lay it on my heart to do this! So, here goes. We'll see where God takes it and how He uses it, but I am taking the first step of obedience!
I hope to share with you things that the Lord is teaching me, my family life and ideas and tips on saving money by couponing and making homemade items, etc.

Very cool, Gillian. I look forward to reading your blog. Also, will be praying that God continues to give you guys direction for your future. ♥
Your post got me thinking about when I first started blogging. I started about 3 years ago, when I was pregnant with our son. I can't believe it's been that long! I'm not a writer, I hate writing & most days I wanted to quite. I really thought our experience with Todd should have been more private. But, I knew God was calling me to blog & bring people along on our journey of loss & healing.
I know God will use your words on this blog to encourage others..so hang in there!! Praying for you!!
Thanks for your prayers guys! Means a lot!
